SITE SELECTION

When building a custom home, site selection is the critical first step. Whether you own a lot, have been dreaming of buying a home in Central Florida, South Florida Florida, or simply know that you want a beautiful custom home but don’t know where to put it quite yet, we are the premier custom home builders in Florida, and we’re here to help!

​Our experienced custom home team can help to steer you through the process of searching for the perfect location for your future home. With extensive knowledge of Central & South Florida, we’ll work with you to determine what your priorities are, and then help you sort through the wide selection of communities, neighborhoods, amenities, school districts, and other important factors that will ensure you will be happy in your location for years to come.

PLAN DESIGN

The custom home building process continues with the design of your new luxury custom home, as you meet with our Architect and Interior Design team. It is always productive to bring photos of rooms and details which speak to you help to help us build a picture of what style your home will be.

​When you are ready to move forward, we request a Plan Design Deposit to get the process started. The plan design deposit is credited back towards the cost of the home once the contract and price have been agreed upon. After the design is completed to your satisfaction, the plans will be brought up to ¼” scale, elevations will be prepared and agreed upon and initial specifications provided. This gives us as the builder enough information to give you a formal proposal for the home.

CONTRACTING

When you have agreed to the price and specifications, we can present you with a formal Contract. Once signed, we can continue to move forward and complete the plans and engineering to get ready for Permitting on your new custom home. During this time, you will also review the plans with our Interior Design Team working out details such as ceilings, arches, niches, and built-ins,… which need to be incorporated in the final plans for building your custom home in Orlando.

FINALIZING YOUR HOME

After the contract is signed, you will work with our Interior Design Team on making the interior selections for your new home. This is a fun process which you will be guided through seamlessly by our Team.
Selections include:

  • Appliances
  • Plumbing Fixtures
  • Lighting Fixtures
  • Cabinets

Standard construction time for a custom home to be built from start to finish ranges from 7 to 24 months dependent upon whether the home is 3,500 sq ft or 30,000 sq ft.

SELECTION PROCESS

Hampton Bay’s team works collectively with our team of architects and interior designers from preliminary design thru construction completion, creating custom designed details and client-specific selections, finishes and furnishings for a highly personalized experience.

HOME CONSTRUCTION

With all of the details of your final custom home plans in hand, we create a project timeline and start construction on your home. Our custom home-building team and cutting-edge, interactive project management scheduling system keeps your construction timeline on track and empowers you to be informed during the building process.

A flexible decision timeline gives you the ability to see what decisions you will need to make and gives you time to make the right choice. Regular communication with your building team will keep you up-to-date on the progress of your new home and allow for you to ask questions whenever they come to mind. We also have an extensive post-construction client feedback program, where we ask for home builder reviews so that we can continuously improve our finely tuned process even more!
